Ron has practiced criminal law since 2006. Prior to that, Ron practiced civil litigation, including the prosecution and defence of professional negligence claims, at the law firm of Harrison Pensa LLP in London. Ron has extensive trial experience – appearing at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. Prior to returning to London in 2003, Ron was a professional educator in Calgary Alberta and served as Director of Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law.

Laura completed her undergraduate degree at London’s Western University and Dalhousie University in Halifax. Laura worked with us as our summer student while completing her law degree in England at the University of York. After returning to Canada in June of 2017, Laura completed her Canadian Equivalency exams and Bar exams. Laura was called to the bar in June of 2019.

Stephen has had an eye for criminal defence for most of his life. He completed his undergrad at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts, Law and Society. He then completed law school at Western University, where he focused on criminal law. He was awarded the Colin D. Leitch Award, awarded for the greatest potential for success as a practitioner in Criminal Law. Whether it be carefully scouring the prosecution brief to determine if there is a breach of your Charter rights by police, inconsistencies by a Complainant, or personal circumstances that create a defence at law, Stephen is dedicated to vigorously fighting for you! Stephen was called to the bar in September of 2023.

Kholood is our office manager and accounts manager and is fluent in English and Arabic. Kholood completed her undergraduate degree in 2017, majoring in Political Science at the University of Western Ontario. She then attended Fanshawe College where she completed the Paralegal Program 2019 and obtained her Paralegal License in March of 2020. Kholood joined the firm in August 2021 and has been an invaluable member of our team since.
